MicrOmics Launches ColuMate™ Capillary Column Heating System

MicrOmics, a U.S.-based developer of advanced separation solutions for LC-MS workflows, today announced the launch of ColuMate™, an easy-to-use, flexible capillary column heating system designed to deliver consistent and reproducible temperature control across a wide range of separations—using both MicrOmics and third-party columns.

Column temperature plays a critical role in chromatographic reproducibility, backpressure management, and overall separation performance. After more than a year of internal development and testing, the ColuMate system provides uniform, stable heating with an emphasis on intuitive operation and broad compatibility.

The MicrOmics team identified key limitations in current column heating solutions, which are frequently bulky, restrictive, or expensive. “Easy-to-use systems often come with a high markup. ColuMate was built to prove that simplicity, flexibility, and high performance do not need to come at a premium,” said Xiaofeng Xie, Manager, MicrOmics Technologies.

At launch, the ColuMate system is compatible with Thermo mass spectrometers using EasySpray sources, as well as Flex sources via EasySpray adapters. Additional MS platform compatibility is planned for future releases. Each ColuMate system includes the heating unit and a capillary column of the user’s choice—providing everything needed to begin LC-MS analysis.
